Why Nepean Rubber chose Baoli Forklifts over rental units

Shifting from rental to ownership with Baoli

Operating in rubber moulding and plastic manufacturing, Nepean Rubber & Plastics manages a constant flow of heavy materials across its production environment. From lifting metal moulds into presses to transporting finished goods and loading outbound trucks, materials handling equipment plays a critical role in their daily operations.

To support this, they recently introduced a fleet of Baoli KBG forklifts alongside ER15 pallet stackers.

Mithik Lakhani, Office Administrator, shared how their business has benefited from transitioning to Baoli equipment.

Why the switch from rental

For some time, the business relied heavily on rental forklifts. However, as operations continued, the limitations of this approach became more apparent.

“We previously had a lot of rental forklifts,” Mithik says. “Over time, it made more sense to invest in our own equipment.”

Having already worked with Linde Material Handling equipment through their rental fleet, the team was familiar with the brand and its standards. When exploring ownership options, Baoli was introduced as a cost-effective alternative.

“We approached Linde for a quote, and that’s when Baoli was recommended as a more affordable and practical option for us,” Mithik explains. “The terms and the service agreement were also very attractive, which made the decision easier.”

The ability to access equipment backed by Linde’s support network, while staying within budget, played a key role in the final decision.

Supporting everyday efficiency across the site

Beyond forklifts, the addition of Baoli ER15 pallet stackers has helped streamline lighter-duty movements within the facility.

“The pallet stackers are used for smaller movements, and because they don’t require a forklift licence, more people in the team can use them. That makes things easier when we just need to move items quickly within the warehouse.”

Meanwhile, the Linde MV01 order picker supports picking operations at height, allowing the team to safely retrieve items from upper shelving when required.

Together, this combination of equipment supports a flexible and responsive workflow across their site.

Operator feedback and day-to-day impact

While the transition to a new fleet is often evaluated over time, early feedback from operators has already highlighted noticeable differences in performance.

“The team has mentioned that these forklifts are much smoother to operate. They respond quicker and are easier to control compared to the older units.”

That improvement in control has translated into tangible benefits on-site.

“With the previous forklifts, when they moved faster, they could jam or react unpredictably. That caused loads to shift or fall, which lead to damage. Since switching, we’ve had less of that happening.”

In a production environment handling heavy and often sensitive materials, even small improvements in handling can make a meaningful difference.

Making the right choice

For operations weighing up the move from rental to ownership, this transition highlights a practical approach: invest in equipment that delivers consistency, improves operator control, and aligns with the day-to-day realities of the business.

Backed by Linde and designed to get the job done without unnecessary complexity, Baoli offered the right balance.

As Mithik puts it:
“If someone is considering switching to Baoli, I’d say it’s the right choice.”
